June 18: Day Two

Yesterday we spent the whole day at a beautiful beach called Nerja. The sand was mostly pebbles and the water was extremely clear, salty, and cold. At one point we rented a paddle boat and went cliff jumping (a very new experience for me). For lunch we had Paella, which is a traditional Spanish food that had chicken, rice, and shrimp. It reminded me a lot of a crawfish boil!! Near the beach there was a small village with narrow streets that were bursting with souvenirs, which made me very excited to go shopping this week. It also contained the Balcony of Europe, which had an incredible view of the endless, waveless water. Although I now look like a lobster and still feel as though I’m on a boat, it was definitely worth it.
